Healdsburg
California
Sonoma Wine Country • Three Premier AVAs • Michelin Star Dining
A small town with remarkable depth — where three world-class wine valleys meet at a single sun-drenched plaza, and the table is always set. — Healdsburg, California • Est. 1867
Where Three Wine Valleys Converge
Healdsburg sits at the rare confluence of three celebrated American Viticultural Areas — Alexander Valley, Dry Creek Valley, and Russian River Valley. Few wine towns anywhere in the world can offer the range of varietals, the depth of producers, and the walkable intimacy that Healdsburg delivers.
Thirty-plus tasting rooms ring the historic downtown plaza. A Condé Nast Traveler-recognized main street gives way to barrel rooms, farm restaurants, and river beaches within minutes. Healdsburg is not a wine region you pass through. It is one you linger in.
This directory connects you to local businesses, restaurants, events, parks, city services, and the wineries that make Healdsburg one of Northern California's most celebrated small towns.
Three Legendary AVAs
Healdsburg is the only city in California at the intersection of three premier wine appellations
Alexander Valley
Warm days and cool nights coax extraordinary Cabernet Sauvignon and Bordeaux-style blends from the valley floor and hillside estates.
Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot ChardonnayDry Creek Valley
Rugged benchland soils and maritime fog produce Zinfandel with signature depth and spice alongside world-class Sauvignon Blanc.
Zinfandel Sauvignon Blanc SyrahRussian River Valley
Cool coastal air channeled up the Russian River corridor creates ideal conditions for elegant Pinot Noir and mineral-driven Chardonnay.
Pinot Noir Chardonnay SparklingA Town of Michelin Stars
Healdsburg has been ranked by Travel + Leisure among the best restaurant cities in the world and #2 in Newsweek's Best Small Cities for Foodies. The town's restaurant culture reflects the same obsessive attention to provenance that defines its wineries: sourced close, cooked simply, served memorably.
SingleThread Farm Restaurant holds three Michelin Stars and a Michelin Green Star for sustainability — one of only a handful of restaurants in all of California to achieve this. Barndiva holds one Michelin Star. The Matheson, Valette, and Costeaux French Bakery complete a dining scene that would be remarkable in a city ten times the size.
